Find the searches about your topic that Google's top results do not answer

You want to know which pages are worth writing on a topic. You type the topic. Fractl Agents finds the questions people search about it, reads the top ten Google results for each question, and lists the questions those results do not answer, ranked by how many searches a month go unanswered.

A topic is a product, a service or a field, such as 'heat pump water heaters' or 'retirement accounts for freelancers'.

Narrow the topic (optional)

Fractl Agents drops the searches that do not fit, such as 'for homeowners' or 'costs and installation'.

How long should the run take?
  • A run takes three, four or six minutes, your choice. You can start two runs a day.
  • The run is free. Only you see the results.
  • Keep this tab open. Your results live in this tab until you send them to your email.

What Fractl Agents does during the run

  1. Fractl Agents finds the questions people search, with how often

Fractl Agents gathers a few hundred searches people type about your topic, each with how many times a month it is searched in the US. Fractl Agents keeps the questions that are on your topic: about 100 in the usual run. This takes a few seconds.

  2. Fractl Agents searches Google for each question

Fractl Agents runs each question as a Google search and keeps the top ten results. Many searches share results, so a few hundred different pages come back. This takes about half a minute.

  3. Fractl Agents reads the results: articles, forum posts, Reddit threads and video captions

Fractl Agents opens every result it can, many at once, and reads the text. A product page is noted as a product page. A page that Fractl Agents cannot open is listed with the reason. Reading takes most of the run.

  4. A decision model judges whether each result answers the search

For each search, a decision model reads each result against the question and marks it: answers it, answers it partly, or does not answer it.

  5. Fractl Agents ranks the gaps by searches lost each month

A search is a gap when two or fewer of its top results answer it directly. Fractl Agents calls a gap only when it read or classified at least 80% of that search's results.

  6. You read the gaps and open the top results behind any search

Each gap is a page worth writing. Under Every search, press a search's results to see each page, what kind of page it is, the verdict, and why a page was not read.
